I thought I could use this blog to sort of promote this project I'm working on. I'm trying to start a website that helps new clothing designers get their clothes "out there." I'm highly obsessed with fashion and finding new trends. I thought I could take this passion of mine and turn it into something useful. Perhaps my Writing in the Digital Age Class will help me in the process of creating this website and "networking" it so I can get the attention of new designers. Recently, I've helped my friend with her clothing line. In Fall 2007 I designed a recycled clothing line with Rachael Goodrum, who aspires to have a clothing line of her own Rum & Couture. We released this line at SUNY Cortland's Music for a Cause event; which was a charity event that raised money for causes like AIDs awareness, Breast Cancer Awareness, and "Going Green." We found that our line would be perfect for the fashion show portion of the event because it was a prime of example of how to "go green" by not trashing old clothing, and saving it from textile waste.

I'll continue to use this blog to post articles and updates on what I'm doing with my business idea.
Keeping you trendy,
M. Lynn
