The Snow is Starting to Melt--So What's in for Spring?

After reviewing both NY Fashion Week and the Oscars I've compiled a list of "What's in" for Spring 2009 (Just in time for you to rock these sweet trends on Spring Break!)

# 1. RED-- Amy Adams(wearing Carolina Herrara), Heidi Klum(wearing Roland Mouret) , Virginia Madsen (wearing Kevan Hall), and Amanda Seyfried (wearing Valentino) all had one thing in common at the 2009 Oscars; RED. It's the new hot color for 2009 and come fall it will transcend to brick red.

# 2. The One Shoulder Dress- Michelle Obama rocked this trend at the Inaugural ball amongst the many others who sported the one shoulder dresses at the Oscars like: Mary Hart, Queen Latifah and Nancy O'dell. 

# 3. BOLD Accessories!-- That's right! Go over the top with jewelry and shoes and make a statement. 

# 4. Decorative Zippers--No more hiding those zippers, let them be exposed! Zippers this spring are the new accessory to flash.

# 5. MiX & MaTcH Patterns-- Designer Michael Kors line was made up of entirely striped,dots and patterns you wouldn't normally see together. Be daring! Mix these patterns together for a new look...but don't get too out of control. I'm not saying let mix houndstooth with leopard ladies! Make sure the different patters stick to a similar hue.
