Alexander McQueen [March 17,1969 - February 11, 2010]

Renowned designer, Alexander McQueen's death was announced February 11th 2010. Unfortunately McQueen took his own life at the age of 40. McQueen was the head designer of Givenchy and announced British Designer of the Year.

His bold and shocking fashion statements have been worn on the red carpet by celebrities: Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyonce and other major artists.

His daring designs stood apart from most and his futuristic style will truly be missed. McQueen's collections have always told a conceptual story. His designs clearly portrayed 21st century fashion instead of being inspired by past hits. He didn't revisit the 50's or 70's; his ideas were his own and will surely inspire new designers to come.
